There are still over thirty (30) children in foster care in our community that have NO VOICE representing them in court. While lawyers on both sides submit piles of documentation and briefs to the court, these children get no say in their future. Sound heart-breaking?
Please consider becoming a volunteer, court-appointed, guardian ad litem. On average, it only takes about 3-4 hours per month of your time! We provides you with all of the training and on-going support and guidance you will need.
2024 Training schedule:
Orientation: TBD 2024 - 5:30-7:30pm - ACORN Training Room
Training: TBD 2024 - 5:30-7:30pm - then every Monday & Wednesday - ACORN Training Room
Graduation: TBD 2024 - Time TBD - Nye County Courthouse - 5th Judicial District Court, Judge Robert Lane presiding.
